A partly inhabited shell of a 3 story Malthouse still with tin malting pans and furnace was transformed into a two storey six bedroomed house with annexe, stabling and outbuildings. It is largely self sufficient using its well water, ground source heat pump, and its own logs fuelling wood-burning stoves. Care has been taken to retain the old window surrounds so its history is clearly readable in the formal elevations of what is now a comfortable country house.
