Leaning walls, a roof ridge running downhill, low headroom and bats were fine for cows but not good for a new farm office and guest wing linked to the historic farmhouse. By jacking up the roof to be level and digging out the cowshed floor, space was made to comfortably fit the new uses. By installing good insulation, underfloor heating, and new generous openings; the interior is warm, spacious and still keeps the familiar oak roof structure. The new bat dormer has seen them return for their summer farm holiday.
