Our octogenarian clients were thinking about winding down, and moving from 'the big house' into an adjacent late 19th Century workshop on site. The brief required one side of the workshop to remain 'blind' to avoid overlooking into the garden of the main house. A few tricks were deployed to create this bright and airy conversion and extension to a single storey, 2 bedroom house, with all mod-cons, while maintaining some of the character of the original brick workshop.
