Dial House

A handsome double-fronted Georgian country house hides a 1960's double level flat roofed dormers at the back.
The owners want to improve the layout and thermal performance of the house in order to install a Ground Source Heat Pump and create a modern open-plan kitchen and day room, a new boot room with utility, and a comfortable office-cum-guest room. The proposals remove the inappropriate '60s additions, making a modern, energy efficient and comfortable home, complete with wild swimming pool, orchard, wild flower meadow and a converted annex. The project is at RIBA stage 3.
