The proposals build on the success of previous projects with the Cheese & Grain and our earlier proposals for the wider regeneration to create a Riverside Place and Black Swan Square . We were commissioned to develop a concept for providing new rehearsal space and post-production editing suites to complement the Bert Jansch recording Studio. The site is located at the back of an unpromising public car park, backing onto a live mineral railway. We developed a contextual design that connects the building visually with the Cheese and Grain and provides an additional entrance for the venue. With detailed Planning permission achieved, Event Tec are now looking forward to completing the technical design.
