1970's revisited

This typical 1970s estate home had become too cramped for a growing family, so we explored several ways to expand and improve the space. The final design opened up the entire rear of the house to create a generous family room with a connected kitchen, dining area and living space, along with a new cloakroom, shower, and plenty of practical storage for coats and boots. The transformation was remarkable.

A few years later, the owners got in touch to share their thanks as they prepared to move on with their now‑grown family. When they put the house on the market, it sold immediately — and for significantly more than any comparable home on the estate. A happy ending all round.
